    POSITION DESCRIPTION
    The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking an Associate Director of Financial Planning and Operations to join our team of professionals.
    Duties Include:
    • Oversees the reporting and analysis of all funds including but not limited to Tuition, General Revenue, Foundation, Auxiliary and External Contracts.
    • Develops short and long term forecasting of enrollment, tuition, HWCOM departments and other revenue streams for the College.
    • Provides recommendation to the Director and Executive Associate Dean for unbudgeted requests from departments and solutions to funding critical initiatives for their area
    • Uses initiative to solve financial issues when working through budgetary issues with departments.
    • Collaborates with College units by providing policy interpretation, information, assistance pertaining to budgets and personnel matters, the application of the University fiscal policy, and other College policies and procedures.
    • Collaborates with the Executive Associate Deans, Chairpersons and various University and non-University personnel in the development and implementation of budget and financial activities.
    • Prepares financial presentations to the Director and other members of the Senior Management team.
    • Collaborates with HWCOM Advancement, Financial Aid and University Controllers with respect to the allocation of scholarships to medical students ensuring that it meets the long term plan of the College.
    • Develops and analyses the long term revenue stream of foundation endowments and assesses the availability of funds for budgeting and expenditure purposes. Makes recommendations where necessary.
    • Manages the procurement life cycle, working with key stakeholders, to include supplier selection, negotiation, contract drafting and award.
    • Works collaboratively with suppliers to analyze and reduce their costs, presenting additional savings and value to both entities where applicable.
    • Develops and manages a diverse array of stakeholder relationships to achieve quality service levels to units across the HWCOM ensuring that procurement needs are met timely an efficient manner and in compliance with state law and University rules, regulations, and policy
    • Implements cost reduction activities, utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods for the benefit of the HWCOM.
    • Develops and maintains purchasing procedures and best practices in accordance with established University purchasing policies and BOG Regulations.
    • Leads negotiations, formulate negotiation strategies, develop complex specifications and conduct market research to assist key stakeholders within the College of Medicine in the procurement process in conjunction with Purchasing Services Competitive Solicitation Unit.
    • Performs related duties as required or assigned by supervisor. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and four years of experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and six years of experience.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Knowledge of Adaptive Planning Software for data analysis.
    Knowledge of Peoplesoft
