    The University of Groningen offers a salary depending on qualifications and work experience starting from a minimum of € 3 195 gross per month (salary scale 11) to a maximum of € 4 970 gross per month (salary scale 12) for a full-time position, excluding 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% end-of-year bonus and participation in a pension scheme for employees.

    The Department of Economics, Econometrics & Finance is an active and international research group, consisting of approximately 50 people. Members are working both in fundamental theoretical research as well as in applied research. Central research themes are among others industrial organisation, (applied) econometrics, banking, aging and pensions, (micro)finance, and economic history.

    Currently the department has two vacant tenure track positions in Finance. The department offers a dynamic academic environment with excellent research facilities. Candidates have the ability to conduct high quality, original research and to publish in high-ranked international journals.

    Successful candidates have a broad and outstanding knowledge of finance research. We specifically search for candidates who have specialized in corporate finance and/ or asset pricing. However, we also invite qualified researchers interested in closely related areas, like corporate governance, international finance, banking and finance, and finance and development to apply. As to teaching, he/she contributes to the finance courses in the BSc and MSc programs, including the supervision of bachelor and masters theses. Moreover, he/she might contribute to the two-year highly selective research master program.
