The School of Banking and Finance is seeking to appoint Lecturers/Senior Lecturers (equivalent to tenure track Assistant Professors) in Finance within the Australian School of Business.
We seek applicants with PhD degrees or who are expected to complete their degree requirements in the near future and who can demonstrate research excellence by publishing in top finance journals. The successful applicant is expected to be an effective instructor in both undergraduate and/or graduate courses in corporate finance and/or asset pricing. Other areas of finance will also be considered.

Banking and Finance is a school within the ASB. The School offers a diverse range of courses including Honours, Masters, and PhD programs in finance, is highly ranked both in research published in top tier journals and in teaching, and attracts some of the best students in Australia and abroad.
Our faculty and research students have strong links with industry and global researchers and the school supports their many research activities by subscribing to an extensive set of major financial databases (list on our website). We have strong ties to many major international business schools and our visitors program is globally renowned, highlighted by the breadth of distinguished researchers who present in our weekly seminar and who are longer term visitors.
Now in its 26th year, the school hosts the annual Australasian Finance and Banking Conference (AFBC). The four day conference brings together leading financial researchers from around the globe.

The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions are full-time, and are available on convertible tenure track employment contracts, which will include an initial fixed-term of up to five (5) years. An attractive salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Subject to performance, new faculty may apply for fully funded six-month sabbatical leave undertaken locally or overseas, after three years of service.
