  • Job Description:

    As the head of our rates/regulatory team, you would shape, drive and influence the rate case process and overall regulatory environment to maximize the value for the business; ensuring compliance with US GAAP and all regulatory requirements necessary to achieve the successful execution of rate cases and other regulatory activities.  Represent the organization to regulators, legal bodies and industry groups.  Develop and maintain a recognized presence in the industry and with regulators, staff and interveners. Provide advice and assistance in planning and reporting progress on regulatory matters with an emphasis on regulatory revenue forecasting. Direct, plan and manage the rate case process for the company, ensuring that each case is thoroughly prepared.  Prepare filings for other key strategic issues supporting the on-going development of the business.  Provide expert testimony on items of particular complexity or sensitivity.

    This key position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field as well as an MBA.  CPA, CMA or CFA certification is desirable.  Experience must include a minimum of 10 years of experience in the rates/regulatory environment.  Demonstrated experience in accounting and finance as well as managing a team of finance professionals is also required.  Additional requirements include:
    - detailed understanding of Arizona and New Mexico specific regulations and regulatory environment,
    - understanding of the political and economic factors affecting Arizona and New Mexico,
    - expertise in rate case testimony; and
    - experience working with staff, preparing written testimony and delivering oral testimony on complex and controversial issues.
