    Stuart School of Business at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT Stuart) is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor of Economics. Candidates will have completed (or near completion of) a Ph.D. in Economics or a business discipline with substantial emphasis/expertise in economics from a reputed school. The school is interested in candidates from all areas of economics whose skills are compatible with the needs of a technologically- and quantitatively-oriented business school. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach in undergraduate and graduate programs in business, finance, and management science. IIT Stuart encourages collaborative research across disciplines with an emphasis on the application of quantitative, analytical techniques to applied problems in business. IIT Stuart aims to develop a world class reputation in the fields of quantitative finance and marketing analytics.

    Qualifications, Responsibilities, and Compensation
    The applicant should have a Ph.D. by Fall 2014 in a relevant discipline from a well-regarded program; possess strong teaching skills, and demonstrate the ability to publish in refereed journals. 

    Responsibilities include the potential to teach courses at all levels and conduct research consistent with the expectations of a doctoral granting university. Salary is competitive and includes a rich array of university benefits including medical, group life insurance, retirement, etc.
