    The Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Applied Statistics invites applications from highly qualified individuals for position of Lecturer, one each in the fields of Actuarial Studies and Applied Statistics and three from Finance. You will be joining a dynamic team of academics with a focus on achieving excellence in research and teaching. We are particularly interested in candidates who have the capacity to research and teach at the interface between Actuarial Studies, Applied Statistics and Finance.

    Successful applicants will have strong research and teaching capabilities and will be expected to make a strong contribution to research, pursue external funding, as well as attract and supervise research students. We seek applicants with a strong publication record, an ability to attract competitive research funding and a commitment to, and enjoy, face-to-face teaching. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who will coordinate and teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

    Applicants should have completed or be very near completion of a PhD in the relevant discipline, a related field, acquired Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent overseas professional body.
