Duties: Dynamic opportunity to provide expert economic advice to the Commission and guide its overall professional economic efforts. Performs cutting edge research and analysis on the economic impact of the CFTC’s regulatory policies on the futures industry and other sectors of the economy.
Qualifications: Ability to perform at an executive level as a key member of the Chairman’s leadership team. Candidates should have national recognition as a subject matter expert in economics or financial economics. Preferred qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. or master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics or other related fields, combined with extensive knowledge of exchange trading, and surveillance functions, data analysis, and financial markets.
