    The School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Waterloo invites applications for tenured or tenure-track positions in Finance, for an appointment beginning July 1, 2013.

    Candidates for the tenured position should have established reputations for high-quality research and teaching, and an interest in contributing to our graduate programs. Normally candidates for Assistant Professor should have a PhD or have completed their PhD by the first date of their appointment at the University of Waterloo and should demonstrate the potential for high quality research and teaching.

    Since 2008 we have hired 15 new faculty and in 2009 we added over 50,000 square feet of new classrooms and offices. We offer a stimulating environment for research and teaching, and promote intellectual curiosity and growth.

    The School's faculty members produce theoretical and empirical research on asset pricing, corporate finance, derivatives, investments, and financial econometrics. They are associated with the Waterloo Research Institute in Insurance, Securities and Quantitaitve Finance (WatRISQ) which coordinates research activities on financial risk management in actuarial science, computer science, econometrics, finance and statistics across the University. The School's collaborative environment encourages faculty members to help each other reach their maximum potential.
