    Scholars in the field of banking and finance will meet to discuss the causes, transmission mechanisms, and consequences of the crisis, focusing also on the policy implications for the current situation and the potential reforms. The organizing committee invites the submission of full papers on the following themes: • Banks’ organizational structure and lending outcomes • Capital adequacy • Credit rationing and credit cycles • Shadow banking • Bank channel of transmission of non-conventional monetary policies • Macroprudential policies • Mechanisms to improve the efficiency and stability of the banking system • The European Banking Union • Sovereign debt crisis and banking crisis • The role of banking in economic development (the post-crisis view) • Loan officers’ incentive and lending outcomes The workshop will be held in Ancona on June 25-27, 2014. It is organized by the Money and Finance Research group (MoFiR) and sponsored by the Università Politecnica delle Marche and by the Review of Finance. Presbitero (IMF and UPM) Zeno Rotondi (Unicredit Bank) Hirofumi Uchida (Kobe University) Gregory Udell (Indiana University) Iichiro Uesugi (Hitotsubashi University) Neeltje Van Horen (De Nederlandsche Bank) Alberto Zazzaro (UPM) Submissions may be sent to mofir@univpm.it by January 31, 2014. Papers will be selected by the Scientific Committee and corresponding authors will be notified of eventual acceptance by April 20, 2014. Given capacity constraints and to promote an active discussion, preference will be given to authors who can attend the whole workshop.
