NEW! National Academy of Science Award

The National Academy of Sciences has requested the AFA's assistance in encouraging nominations for the 2011 NAS Award for Scientific Reviewing. This award is given to recognize authors whose reviews have synthesized extensive and difficult material, rendering a significant service to science and influencing the course of scientific thought. The award catagory rotates annually and is scheduled for presentation this year in Economics. This year’s award represents a rare opportunity which we encourage AFA members to take advantage of. Morgan Stanley Prize for Excellence in Financial Markets Morgan Stanley has established a prize to reward excellence in financial research by doctoral students at 20 participating universities. To apply, students must submit a single-authored finance paper by October 1, 2010. For more information on this prize, click here.
